Group Accommodation in Oban

Oban, Gaelic for “The Little Bay,” is a quaint resort town nestled in the Firth of Lorne in the Argyll and Bute area of Scotland. For large groups wishing to spend time together in a lovely setting, the town of Oban is an excellent choice. The bay in Oban is an almost perfect horseshoe and is sheltered by the island of Kerrera and, further out, the Isle of Mull. Close by can be seen the Morvern and Ardgour mountains, offering beautiful scenery all around.

For those keen on culture, the town offers the Corran Halls theatre, which hosts local and visiting entertainers, community events and touring musical companies including the Scottish Opera. There is also a two-screen cinema in town for movie buffs.

Anyone interested in a little history should visit the Oban War and Peace Museum, which offers historical and cultural exhibits of interest relating to the town and its surrounding area, both in peacetime and past war years. The museum operates within the well known Oban Distillery, close to the seafront, where whisky has been produced since 1794.

With the dramatic and beautiful scenery of the coast and mountains, as well as several castles and ancient religious sites, Oban offers many activities for visiting groups of family and friends. Located on the North Pier of the town, the Oban Visitor Information Centre advises visitors of all the options available.

There are several large holiday homes available in Oban and its surroundings, perfect as group accommodation and with many features on offer. Browse the options available on the House Parties website, or if you can’t find just what you are looking for, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
